    I hope you like rainbows.

Squawk.dll is a hack that I wrote to learn D3D in more depth, before this project I had very little experience with D3D and thus far I've learnt a lot.

It's still in its early stages and doesn't have many features. Eventually it'll have more features such as chams, removal of certain textures, customizability, etc.

For now though, here's wireframe and xray. I have no idea why anyone would want to use wireframe, but xray can come in handy if you want to have a peak through walls to see where enemies are. At a later stage I plan on having a semi-transparent wallhack so that you can still see through walls but aren't disoriented at the apparent lack of them, lol.

    Hotkeys

    • INSERT - Toggle menu on/off
    • UP KEY - Move menu cursor up
    • DOWN KEY - Move menu cursor down
    • LEFT KEY - Activate/Deactivate selected menu item
    • RIGHT KEY - Activate/Deactivate selected menu item
    • RIGHT CONTROL - Panic button: disables all hacks and works regardless of whether the menu is open or not
    Installation

    1. Download Squawk.rar
    2. Copy Squawk.dll and fmodex.dll into your GunZ2 folder (See notes below)
    3. Run Gunz2_steam.exe/Launch from steam
    4. Use hotkeys as above. Play around in a private match before going into ranked matches.
    Uninstallation

    1. Delete Squawk.dll and fmodex.dll from your gunz folder
    2. Replace fmodex.dll with the one from fmodex.rar
    Notes

    • Gunz 2 is installed in the default steam installation directory (unless you changed it during installation) which is usually located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\GunZ 2 The Second Duel
    • This won't crash if you alt tab
    • I'll release the source at some point, it's a mess at the moment and the DLL is incomplete. When I feel that it's ready to be released, I'll release my source which includes all of my texture/text/menu/etc classes (basically the project files)
    • If you don't wish to use Squawk.dll any more, make sure that you delete both Squawk.dll AND fmodex.dll and replace fmodex.dll with the original. GunZ will not launch if you just delete Squawk.dll.
    • I've protected this dll in an attempt to prevent it being edited. Members on other cheating sites like to remove credits/branding from hacks
    • If you want to help us out in creating hacks, please feel free to join our chat channel. We always appreciate people that want to test out hacks before they're released to the public
    • This DLL is developed in such a way that it should never get patched. If it does, it's probably the result of anti-cheat software

    The Source
I've included the source code for this project. It's not the prettiest, nor is it complete. I kind of abandoned the project. I had many things that I wanted to do but I simply lost interest. Hopefully it will be of some value to the people. It definitely does compile but I'm not sure if it's in a working state. Build environment is below.

    • MSVC 2013
    • Microsoft DirectX SDK (June 2010)
    • Detours 1.5
You're free to do whatever you want with it, but I won't provide support.

    Re: [STEAM] [D3D] Squawk.dll

When installed, if I try to open the game, I get this error:

"Cannot Find MSVCP120.dll. Please reinstall application." and after hitting OK:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close application."

If I uninstall with your "fmodex.dll" my game works again.

Also, my virus protection Avira, freaks out when it detects "Squawk.dll".

Hope this is helpful Cipher. Thanks for the release.

    Awesome will try now.

Any reason for the anti-virus issue?

Could you upload a screenshot of the tool working in-game for folks to see?

Stoked to try it out, thanks mate.

Works like a charm, easy to use. The only issue would be that it's too hard to play with, but toggling xray on and off quickly to see enemies works great. :) Thanks again Cipher, awesome tool.

One issue, not a bug but, when used, it hides the mini map, if the interface could be moved down, that would be awesome.

Regarding the antivirus issue: it causes AVs to go batshit crazy because it's protected with Themida. It's just there to stop skiddies from editing the credits out of it.
The next version will have a configurable position so users can edit where the menu is, along with being statically linked so that you don't need the link that I posted above.

when you get banned, does it IP ban you from Maiet's Gunz 2, or from steam (making you lose all your games n stuff)

    Re: [STEAM] [D3D] Squawk.dll

Off-topic, but when you get banned from GunZ the following things can happen:

    1. Your GunZ account (which is linked to your steam account) is banned
    2. Your IP address is banned (Service not supported in your region error)
MAIET cannot do anything else about this. Anti-cheater zealots go around saying that peoples Steam accounts are getting banned or could get banned which worries some people. You cannot get your Steam account banned for cheating in an online game.

Think about it logically, you spend your money supporting Valve (through Steam - they obviously get commission) and game developers. By banning a Steam account, they would deter people from buying any further games from them, thus reducing their profit potential. You can get your Steam account suspended however, but this only happens if you try to use cracked versions of Steam or attempt a chargeback after buying a game.

TL;DR: If you get banned from GunZ 2, you'll probably get IP banned too but your account will DEFINITELY NOT be banned from Steam. You will NOT lose your games, progress, achievements or whatever else.

Is it possible to inject Squawk.dll with an injector?

    Re: [STEAM] [D3D] Squawk.dll

If you can inject extremely fast, then yes. Maybe one with an auto-inject feature would do the trick.

    Nevertheless, try this.

    Re: [STEAM] [D3D] Squawk.dll

Its not needed extremely fast capabilities. Open extreme injector first and in some way that the gunz2 window don't get in front. Just press the button when it shows up. A delay with about 1-2 seconds still make it go. If you cant click a button in 1 second... :v

Extreme Injector also has an "auto inject" feature.

bro, you were smart idealizing this logic wallhack. ^ ^
will suggest something for you to tell me whether you have solution, using the same logic you use.

my video card is not very good. So, I have problems even fps using a configuration bizzara

    C:\Users\(user)\Documents\Gunz2\Config (open with notepad)
    change this tag value, for
    <MipMapBias> 10,000 </ MipMapBias>

Even with this I am setting with a tiny lag, you know how to decline further? or if your DLL that could solve my problem?
